The company operates in a niche market with little competition and a strong customer base.   

Your Role

As a Unit Manager/Production Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining operational continuity. You will work closely with a small but skilled team to ensure production efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial: Ensure good customer relations with existing clients, while simultaneously working to expand the customer base by reaching new markets, attracting new clients, and exploring untapped opportunities.
• Leadership and Supervision: Conduct performance reviews, manage working hours, and ensure employee motivation and well-being.
• Production Process Management: Oversee and optimize manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and minimize raw material waste.
• Quality Control: Ensure high-quality production standards using the Umbrella quality system.
• Technical Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges related to machinery, materials, and processes.
• Equipment Maintenance: Develop and manage maintenance plans for machinery and equipment.
• Operational Planning: Plan production and prioritize orders to meet customer demands.
• Workplace Safety: Ensure occupational safety in compliance with ISO 45001.
• Employee Development: Support and train employees to enhance their multi-skill capabilities.

Who You Are

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on engineer who enjoys both technical problem-solving and strategic planning. The ideal candidate should have:

• Engineering background with experience in production, process optimization, or mechanical engineering.
• Drawing literacy: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Machinery knowledge: Familiarity with equipment used in polyurethane and rubber production.
• Experience in information systems, including ERP-systems and Office 365.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Practical work skills: Ability to participate in hands-on tasks when required.
• Leadership abilities: Experience in supervising employees, improving workplace well-being, and ensuring team motivation.
• Workplace safety expertise: Understanding of safety standards such as ISO 45001.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.
